Knox Systems Achieves FedRAMP High Authorization with FEMA Partnership

April 15, 2026
Knox Systems has received FedRAMP High Authorization for its Managed Service Platform through an expanded partnership with FEMA, enabling support for high-impact federal data environments within AWS GovCloud.

Knox Systems announced in a press release that it has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High Authorization for its Managed Service Platform, expanding its collaboration with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This certification allows Knox to handle highly sensitive federal data and controlled unclassified information.

The new FedRAMP High platform was built as a separate boundary from the company’s existing FedRAMP Moderate environment. Deployed within AWS GovCloud, it is engineered for high-impact federal workloads and designed on the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Impact Level 4 model. The system includes 52 additional security controls beyond the standard FedRAMP High baseline.

The authorization was granted after an assessment by Coalfire, an accredited Third Party Assessment Organization, with FEMA formally signing the Authorization to Operate in March 2026. Knox now holds authorizations across 16 federal civilian and defense agencies, including FEMA, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Homeland Security.
