ACROBiosystems Showcases AI Protein Engineering Platform at AACR 2026
ACROBiosystems presented its AI based protein engineering technologies at the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting 2026, held from April 17 to 22 in San Diego and Newark, announced in a press release. The company highlighted its AI Protein Dry Wet Closed Loop System, known as Acro AIX, designed to address challenges in protein expression, stability, and solubility.
Acro AIX includes specialized models trained on proprietary data. The DeepExp model predicts secretory expression levels for full length proteins in mammalian cells, while the ProDeSol model provides solubility predictions for prokaryotic systems. Both tools are intended to improve the design and production of proteins used in biologics research.
The company also demonstrated its AI Box Protein Engineering Toolkit, which autonomously optimizes binding affinity, stability, and solubility. This toolkit has been applied to the development of GMP grade materials, including Salt Active GENIUS Nuclease and mutant proteins of Human FGF basic and IL 21.
Alongside its AI systems, ACROBiosystems showcased additional technology platforms for biologics development. These include protein expression, high throughput screening, and quality control systems, as well as specialized platforms such as Star Staining site specific labeling and a custom GMP protein service. The company follows a Quality by Design approach certified under ISO 9001 and GMP standards.
