Actabl Says AI Insights Cut Hotel Overtime Share in Beta Program

September 02, 2026
Actabl says more than 100 hotels using AI Insights for Hotel Effectiveness in beta saw overtime share of hours fall 13% on average.

Actabl announced in a press release that more than 100 U.S. hotels are using AI Insights for Hotel Effectiveness in a beta program that began after its HITEC launch in June 2026. The product is part of Actabl's hotel labor management platform and sends managers daily notices that identify labor issues, explain the cause, and recommend a next step.

Across beta properties, daily labor review completions are 23% above the levels recorded before launch. Overtime share of hours has fallen 13% on average across the beta group, while overtime at non beta properties from the same companies rose or stayed flat.

At one property, overtime spending fell by about 75% in June and July while overtime rose across the rest of that management company's portfolio. The system uses Hotel Effectiveness labor data and Actabl's data normalization technology, which covers financial, labor, and operations data across more than 14,000 properties.
