Agilix BusyBee Grades 6 Million Student Submissions

BusyBee now grades about 1 million student submissions per month, with teachers reviewing every draft score and comment.

Agilix Labs says BusyBee has graded 6 million student submissions and returned about 150,000 hours to teachers, according to a company press release. The assistant now grades about 1 million submissions per month.

BusyBee reads each teacher's rubric and the student's work in the Buzz learning platform, then drafts a score and comment. It does not post grades automatically. Teachers approve, edit, or discard every draft before students receive it.

In a sample of 2.5 million submissions, 84 percent graded with BusyBee received a written teacher comment, compared with 29 percent graded without it. The figures come from Agilix's own platform data and compare work where teachers chose to use the assistant against work where they did not, so the gap describes those teachers as well as the tool. The assistant runs on Amazon Bedrock from Amazon Web Services and is available to all Buzz customers and partners.
