AI4Eyes Joins MEDTEQ+ Avise Program with $700,000 Grant for Clinical Validation
Montreal-based AI4Eyes has been accepted into the MEDTEQ+ Avise Program and awarded $700,000 to support clinical validation of its artificial intelligence eye care platform, announced in a press release.
The funding will be used to test AI4Eyes’ dry eye diagnostic platform in real-world clinical environments. The one-year project will assess the system’s accuracy, integration into clinical workflows, ease of use, and efficiency in supporting patient care.
As part of the program, CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal will serve as the official evaluator, overseeing the study and generating evidence on the platform’s clinical performance and usability.
AI4Eyes’ acceptance into the Avise Program follows a selection process supported by the Quebec Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy. The goal of the program is to help innovative health technologies reach the province’s healthcare system more quickly through evidence-based validation.
