AirMatrix Gets Canadian Funding for Airspace AI Research

AirMatrix is receiving funding and advisory services from NRC IRAP to improve its Libra platform for low altitude airspace monitoring.

AirMatrix is receiving funding and advisory services from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program, the company said in a press release. The amount was not disclosed.

The research project will improve Libra, AirMatrix's command and control platform for low altitude airspace monitoring. The system combines data from radar, radio frequency detectors, cameras and other sensors into a common operational view.

The work covers multi sensor correlation, automated camera cueing, AI assisted visual confirmation and workflows that move from initial detection to object confirmation. AirMatrix said human operators will retain oversight of the analysis.
