Aitech Unveils S-A2300 AI Supercomputer for Space Missions
Aitech has announced a significant advancement in space technology with the introduction of the S-A2300 AI supercomputer, announced in a press release. This compact AI supercomputer is engineered for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions, utilizing NVIDIA's GPGPU Orin architecture to enhance image, signal, and edge processing capabilities.
The S-A2300 is designed to support a variety of space operations, including object detection, autonomous navigation, and debris identification. It features up to 2048 CUDA cores and 64 Tensor cores, achieving up to 248 TOPS. Additionally, the system includes two scalable NVDLA engines, which facilitate deep learning inference accelerators.
Key attributes of the S-A2300 include its small form factor, making it suitable for 6U Cubesats or larger platforms, and its radiation tolerance, ensuring reliable operation in the harsh conditions of space. The supercomputer is expected to be available for mission development by Q3 2025 and ready for flight by Q1 2026.
