AIxMed and Biopticka Collaborate on AI-Powered Cytology in Europe
AIxMed and Biopticka Laboratoř have announced a strategic collaboration to advance AI-powered cytology in Europe, announced in a press release. The partnership involves the integration of AIxMed's AIxURO, an AI-powered solution for urine cytology, into Biopticka's laboratory system.
AIxURO is designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in bladder cancer detection by supporting urine cytology workflows using The Paris System for Reporting Urinary Cytology (TPS). Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Biopticka will serve as a reference site for AIxMed in Europe, showcasing the real-world application of AIxURO to potential partners and clients.
The collaboration will see AIxMed's technology integrated into Biopticka's Laboratory Information System (LIS) and existing digital pathology infrastructure. While the initial focus is on bladder cancer detection, both parties plan to explore further opportunities in high-impact cytology applications, including research collaborations and clinical validation studies.
