Amap and Sands China Limited announced in a press release the delivery of the first batch of Tutu robot dogs for visitor guidance at Sands Resorts Macau. The robots were presented at NBA House at The Venetian in Macau and will serve as robotic guides across the resorts.

Amap will also provide indoor navigation using spatial information about floors, walkways, shops and public facilities. It will create 3D models of selected resort areas so visitors can preview them from different angles in the Amap app before arriving.

During an 11 hour shift at NBA House, Tutu completed 214 direction requests and answered 4,546 questions in Chinese and English. The robots traveled more than 40 kilometers while navigating crowds, avoiding obstacles and guiding visitors to facilities.
