Amazon to Invest $10 Billion in Missouri Data Center Campus
Amazon announced in a press release that it will invest $10 billion to build a new data center campus in Missouri. The project will create over 400 full-time data center jobs and thousands of construction positions.
Montgomery County officials estimate that the investment will generate hundreds of millions of dollars in new property tax revenue over the next 25 years. The company also committed more than $7 million to community programs, including $3 million for local emergency dispatch services and over $1 million for a new community gathering space.
State and local leaders joined Amazon executives at a press conference to announce the project, which aims to strengthen Missouri’s role in digital infrastructure and support regional economic growth.
