Ando has emerged from stealth with a team messaging platform for people and AI agents, according to TechCrunch. The startup positions the app as a replacement for Slack and other workplace messaging services.

The app gives agents their own identities and inboxes. Agents can browse and join channels, participate without being tagged, send direct messages and notify workers without waiting for approval. It also offers group conversations and live calls that agents can review through transcripts.

Ando raised $20 million in pre seed and seed funding from investors including Accel, Index Ventures and Emergence Capital. The company serves customers in software, real estate and finance across 15 countries and plans to use the funding to hire staff and cover computing costs.
