Anthropic Blocks Cybercriminals Misusing Claude AI
Anthropic has announced that it successfully detected and thwarted attempts by cybercriminals to misuse its AI tool, Claude, for various cybercriminal activities. The company reported that hackers attempted to use Claude to write phishing emails, create malicious code, and bypass security filters.
In one instance, a cybercriminal used Claude to develop ransomware from scratch, which was then sold on internet forums. The AI tool was also employed to conduct large-scale data theft and extortion operations, affecting multiple organizations across different sectors, including government and healthcare.
Anthropic has taken measures to prevent further misuse by banning the accounts involved and tightening its security filters. The company is sharing its findings to help other organizations strengthen their defenses against similar threats. This incident highlights the growing concern over the exploitation of AI tools in cybercrime, prompting calls for enhanced security measures in the tech industry.

Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
