Apple Offers Jobs to Huxe Staff and Licenses Its Technology
Apple agreed to offer jobs to certain employees of Huxe and receive a nonexclusive license to its intellectual property, according to TechCrunch. Apple notified the European Commission of the agreement on June 9.
Huxe was founded by developers who previously worked on the AI generated podcast features in NotebookLM. Its app created personalized audio briefings and podcasts with AI hosts.
Huxe said on May 21 that it would close its service, remove its app from Apple and Google stores, and delete user data. Apple's filing does not identify which employees received offers, whether they accepted, or how Apple plans to use the licensed technology.
