Aragon Research announced in a press release the Intelligent Communications Experience market, which it projects will reach $251.83 billion by 2031. The framework combines unified communications, contact center platforms and agentic AI in a model where employees and AI agents work through an integrated AI Fabric and agent channel.

Intermedia, Mitel, RingCentral and Vonage endorsed the category. Intermedia cited its communications and contact center tools for midmarket organizations, while Mitel focused on hybrid systems for organizations operating across multiple sites.

RingCentral identified RingEX, RingCX and AIR Pro as products that support work involving people and digital agents. Vonage cited its communications, contact center and communications API services, along with conversational AI and network APIs powered by Ericsson.

Two things are worth noting about the number and the endorsements. A projection given to the nearest ten million dollars, five years out, for a market that did not exist as a category before this announcement, carries more precision than any such forecast can support. And the four vendors endorsing the category are the vendors who would sell into it, which is the usual shape of an analyst framework launch rather than a mark against these four in particular.
