Arena Launches Atlas AI to Boost Hardware Innovation
Arena has launched Atlas, an AI hardware engineer aimed at accelerating the testing, debugging, and optimization processes for advanced hardware, announced in a press release. Founded in 2019 by Pratap Ranade and Engin Ural, Arena focuses on using AI to speed up hardware innovation.
Atlas operates across all layers of the hardware stack, beginning with electrical engineering, and has been deployed in production with Fortune 500 companies such as AMD and Bausch & Lomb. The AI tool has shown a 35% reduction in engineering man-hours and a multi-month acceleration in time to market, along with improvements in product quality.
Arena has raised $62 million in funding, including a recent $30 million Series B round, with investors like Fifth Down Capital, Initialized, and Founders Fund supporting its mission to enhance hardware development efficiency.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
