Asymmetric Security Launches with $4.2M to Accelerate AI-Driven Cyber Forensics
London and San Francisco-based Asymmetric Security has raised $4.2 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by Susa Ventures, with participation from Halcyon Ventures, Overlook Ventures, and several angel investors including Charlie Songhurst, Matt Clifford, and Geoff Ralston. The company plans to expand its engineering and incident response teams.
Asymmetric Security offers an AI-native cyber forensics platform designed to reduce investigation times by up to tenfold. The system combines frontier AI models with experienced cybersecurity experts to automate evidence collection and analysis. It has already been used to investigate more than 100 cyberattacks, cutting response times from days to hours.
The platform includes automated log collection across email, identity, and cloud systems, AI-powered analysis to reconstruct attack timelines, and human validation to ensure accuracy. It also provides actionable defensive recommendations to help organizations prevent repeat incidents.
The company intends to expand its services to include investigations of insider threats, ransomware, and nation-state attacks. Its team includes experts from organizations such as CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, RAND, and leading universities. Asymmetric’s approach aims to address the growing complexity of cyberattacks driven by AI advancements.
