Ault & Company Invests $55 Million in Hyperscale Data

Ault & Company invested $55 million in Hyperscale Data through convertible preferred stock and may purchase up to another $96 million.

Ault & Company invested $55 million directly in Hyperscale Data, Inc. through convertible preferred stock, according to a company press release. Ault & Company and its affiliates now beneficially own about 62% of Hyperscale Data.

Hyperscale Data owns a Michigan AI data center operated by Alliance Cloud Services. The facility has an agreement for an initial 20 megawatts of AI compute capacity, with an option to expand to 52 megawatts. Ault & Company's investment thesis cites potential revenue of more than $1.2 billion over the maximum 20 year term of the initial deployment. The release says the figure is subject to significant conditions and is not guaranteed.

Ault & Company may purchase up to an additional $96 million of Series H convertible preferred stock. Any further investment will depend on market conditions, securities laws and other considerations.
