Austin AI Film Festival Selects 40 Films for 2026 Event
Austin AI Film Festival selected 40 films from more than 700 submissions for its 2026 event, it announced in a press release. The second annual festival will take place October 16 and 17 at The Topfer at Zach Theater in Austin, Texas.
The selected films span 11 categories, including features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, series episodes, student films, hybrid live action films, and commercial films. Judges include director and cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg, production designer Rick Carter, and Fox Entertainment executive Jon Flynn.
The first day will feature a keynote, project masterclasses, and panels about commercial work and hybrid films. Screenings and an awards ceremony will follow on the second day. A free virtual event lasting 48 hours will run from October 8 to 10, with its winning films screening at the festival.
