AWS Adds GPT-6 Astra to Amazon Bedrock
Amazon Web Services announced on its website that GPT-6 Astra from OpenAI is generally available on Amazon Bedrock. Customers can call the model through Bedrock APIs or configure ChatGPT Work and Codex to use it through the service.
GPT-6 Astra supports context windows of up to 1 million input tokens for tasks such as contract review, financial analysis and code investigation. It also supports implicit and explicit prompt caching, including configurable cache breakpoints for workflows that reuse the same context.
Bedrock applies AWS Identity and Access Management policies to model access and records invocations in AWS CloudTrail. AWS says inference data is encrypted, is not used for model training and can be routed through private cloud endpoints. Classifier flagged traffic may be retained for up to 30 days for automated abuse detection, while customers can request zero data retention through their AWS account team.
