Azra AI Acquires Blackford Analysis
Azra AI completed its acquisition of Blackford Analysis, finalizing the combination planned after Sopris Capital bought Blackford from Bayer earlier this month, the company said in a press release. Azra AI acquired Blackford from Sopris Capital, its parent company and majority owner.
The Blackford Platform provides access to more than 130 medical imaging AI applications from over 45 vendors. Azra AI will combine imaging reports with electronic health record data, including laboratory results, patient histories, appointments and clinical documents, to identify patients who need further care and route them to care teams.
The combined platform covers screening, incidental findings, care navigation, multidisciplinary meetings, cancer registry automation and clinical trial matching. Blackford will continue serving its existing health system customers and equipment partners, while its platform will become available to Azra AI customers. Azra AI operates at more than 1,500 sites, and CEO John Marshall will lead the combined companies.
