BAE Systems Boosts Chip Production with CHIPS Act Support
BAE Systems has significantly accelerated its chip production capabilities for mission-critical defense programs, announced in a press release. The company is modernizing its Microelectronics Center in Nashua, New Hampshire, with support from the CHIPS Act, which will enable the purchase of new manufacturing tools to increase production capacity, speed up delivery, and reduce costs.
The Nashua facility, a 110,000-square-foot Department of Defense-accredited semiconductor chip fabrication and foundry, produces advanced semiconductor technologies for the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marines. This modernization effort is expected to enhance U.S. defense production efficiency and support various DoD and aerospace programs, including next-generation aircraft and secure communications.
The investment not only aims to bolster national security but also promises to create skilled manufacturing jobs, reinforcing BAE Systems' commitment to investing in American workers.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
