BAND Integrates Docker Sandboxes for Isolated AI Agent Workflows
BAND announces an integration with Docker Sandboxes that lets local and cloud AI agents collaborate while operating inside isolated microVM environments, according to a press release. The BAND Python Kit connects agents in Docker Sandboxes to shared BAND rooms, where agents and people can exchange messages, route tasks through mentions, and review tool execution events.
Each Docker Sandbox has its own kernel, file system, Docker daemon, and network. The security controls include network access that is denied by default, credential management on the host, and inspection of network requests.
The integration uses an outbound WebSocket connection, removing the need for developers to build separate identity, routing, and communication systems. Local coding agents can access repositories, change code, run tests, and share results with hosted agents and human reviewers.
