BARBRI Acquires Lega to Expand AI Learning for Legal Professionals
BARBRI announced in a press release that it has acquired Lega, a platform providing experiential artificial intelligence training for law students, legal professionals, and law firms. The acquisition aims to expand BARBRI’s portfolio in AI and skills learning, offering practical paths to AI fluency across the legal sector.
Founded in 2023, Lega has delivered hands-on AI workshops and operated a generative AI lab for law firms and legal organizations. Its programs have been adopted by Am Law 100 firms and featured at legal technology conferences. Following the acquisition, Lega’s learning model will be integrated into BARBRI’s educational offerings, including SkillBurst and BARBRI AI courses.
BARBRI stated that it plans to scale Lega’s experiential format globally, introducing workshops, simulations, and lab-style programs that connect law students and practitioners in AI-focused learning. Lega founder Christian Lang will join BARBRI as Head of Innovation, overseeing AI skill development and readiness strategies. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
