Beijing Academy Unveils RoboBrain 2.0 for Humanoid Robots
The Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI) has launched RoboBrain 2.0, an open-source AI model designed to enhance humanoid robots, according to South China Morning Post. This new model, unveiled during BAAI's annual conference, is part of China's broader efforts to advance its robotics industry.
RoboBrain 2.0 is described as the world's most powerful open-source AI model for robotics, offering significant improvements in spatial intelligence and task planning. These enhancements allow robots to perceive distances more accurately and break down complex tasks into simpler steps, boosting their overall performance. The model operates 17% faster and with 74% higher accuracy compared to its predecessor.
The launch of RoboBrain 2.0 is part of BAAI's Wujie model suite, which also includes RoboOS 2.0, a cloud-based platform for deploying robotics AI, and Emu3, a multimodal system capable of processing text, images, and video. BAAI is actively seeking collaborations with over 20 leading companies to further drive growth in the embodied intelligence industry.
