The BESSt Company Introduces Zinc-Polyiodide Battery for AI and Data Centers
The BESSt Company, founded by Tesla alum Joley Michaelson, has launched a new zinc-polyiodide REDOX flow battery designed for sectors requiring uninterrupted power, such as data centers, cold storage, and AI infrastructure. Announced in a press release, this innovative battery offers multi-hour to multi-day energy storage capabilities.
The BESSt Company's platform is based on breakthrough chemistry licensed from Battelle and features non-flammable, rare-earth-free materials. It provides a compact and modular form factor, making it suitable for space-limited settings. The battery delivers up to 20 times the energy density of conventional vanadium flow batteries, which are currently the most popular long-duration energy storage technology.
This new technology aims to support the energy transition by providing reliable, long-duration energy storage solutions that meet the rising power demands of modern infrastructure.
