Blackbaud Unveils Platform for Good Operating System

Blackbaud announced in a press release Platform for Good, a unified operating system that connects social impact workflows across its products. The company introduced the platform at its bbcon 2026 customer conference and said existing customers do not need to change their current products or workflows.

The system has three layers. Its Data Core combines Blackbaud's philanthropic data, research, industry data and Giving Search. An Intelligence Layer uses the Social Impact Signal Graph to find patterns and relationships, while an Action Layer provides AI assistants, agents and workflows with human oversight.

Blackbaud also introduced Lantern, a domain specific language model developed with Databricks for fundraising intelligence. It expanded Agents for Good with updates to the Development Agent and a new Data Health Agent.

Other additions include a new cloud version of Raiser's Edge NXT, Blackbaud Marketing within Raiser's Edge NXT, an Accounts Payable Agent, Payment Assistant developed with BILL and Deposit Connect. Higher Education Connected Campus, developed with Student First, connects student lifecycle, advancement, finance, awards and payment functions.
