BNP Paribas and Google Cloud signed a five year partnership covering cloud infrastructure, Gemini models, AI agents, and employee training.

BNP Paribas and Google Cloud announce in a press release a five year partnership focused on cloud infrastructure, Gemini models, and AI agents. The agreement expands the bank's access to Google Cloud technology under its existing security and data governance requirements.

BNP Paribas will integrate Gemini models into LLM@CIB, a generative AI assistant available to more than 65,000 employees in its Corporate and Institutional Banking division. The companies also plan to deploy agents for tasks such as preparing corporate credit memos, with additional uses across sales, trading, research, and structuring. The bank will use Gemini Enterprise to build, evaluate, and deploy these agents.

Certain data categories will remain outside public cloud systems. Agents will require authentication, receive access only to necessary resources, and operate under monitoring and control when interacting with bank systems. The agreement also includes employee training ranging from basic AI literacy to specialized agent development.

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
