Brain Navi Introduces NaoTrac Surgical Robot for Precision Neurosurgery
Brain Navi Biotechnology has introduced NaoTrac, a neurosurgical navigation robot designed to enhance precision and efficiency in brain surgery, announced in a press release.
NaoTrac uses machine vision and 3D positioning to detect over 300,000 facial checkpoints without inserting bone fiducials. The system performs non-contact scanning to map the brain, helping surgeons locate lesions while avoiding critical nerves and blood vessels. It operates in a semi-autonomous mode that combines robotic accuracy with the surgeon’s control.
According to clinical data, NaoTrac reduces the patient registration phase from about 49 minutes to 2.4 minutes. It also allows procedures to be completed through a one-centimeter incision and maintains consistent electrode placement in procedures such as SEEG and DBS. The robotic arm eliminates tremors and improves access to narrow surgical areas.
Brain Navi stated that NaoTrac has received TFDA, CE, FDA, and CDSCO approvals and is manufactured under ISO 13485 standards.
