Broadcom AI semiconductor revenue reaches $16.7 billion

Broadcom reported $16.7 billion in third quarter AI semiconductor revenue, up 221% from a year earlier. It expects the figure to reach $21.7 billion in the fourth quarter.

Broadcom Inc. said in a press release that AI semiconductor revenue reached $16.7 billion in its third fiscal quarter, up 221% year over year and 54% from the previous quarter. Total revenue for the quarter ended August 2 was $29.59 billion, an increase of 86% year over year.

Semiconductor solutions generated $20.84 billion in revenue, up 127%, while infrastructure software revenue rose 29% to $8.75 billion. GAAP net income was $13.09 billion, or $2.68 per diluted share, and free cash flow totaled $13.67 billion.

Broadcom expects fourth quarter revenue of about $34.8 billion and AI semiconductor revenue of $21.7 billion. Its board also approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.65 per share, payable September 30 to shareholders of record on September 21.
