Broadcom Agrees to Lend Anthropic Up to $42 Billion
Broadcom Inc. agreed to lend Anthropic up to $42 billion for computing infrastructure, Reuters reports. The financing could cover about one third of Anthropic's $125.2 billion commitment to lease tensor processing unit capacity over five years.
Broadcom could appoint a financing partner, and the debt instruments could convert into Anthropic shares. Anthropic said it does not expect any notes to be sold before its planned initial public offering.
Anthropic disclosed that Broadcom's roles as a hardware supplier and financing partner create potential conflicts of interest. Pricing or hardware decisions by Broadcom could affect Anthropic's access to computing capacity, while certain defaults could make a substantial portion of its lease obligations immediately due.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
