Survey Finds Business Schools Lag on AI Readiness

Oct 19, 2026
An AACSB International survey found that 87% of business school leaders consider AI readiness a high strategic priority, but only about one in five rate their schools as highly prepared.

Poets&Quants reports that a survey from AACSB International found a wide gap between the importance business school leaders place on AI and their schools' preparedness. The 2026 to 27 survey included 558 deans and other leaders across 75 countries and territories.

Eighty seven percent rated AI readiness as a high or very high strategic priority, while only about one in five gave their institutions similar marks for preparedness. Nearly three in 10 rated preparedness as low or very low, and 74% placed AI readiness among their three biggest challenges for the next five years.

Deans rated AI in education and research at 4.54 out of five for priority, compared with 3.41 for their own proficiency. At the institutional level, AI received a priority score of 4.37 and a preparedness score of 2.91, the lowest preparedness result among the eight areas assessed.

Financial pressure could limit schools' responses. Fifty nine percent ranked financial resilience among their three biggest challenges, while 34% identified budgets, finances, and resources as their greatest current challenge in an open response question.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
