CaixaBank Creates AI and Data Division
CaixaBank has created its first AI and data division to expand the use of AI and improve data management across the group, according to Finextra. The division will identify applications and oversee their implementation.
Its work will cover data governance, cyber security, administrative automation and personalized customer services. The unit will also support tools for employees and customers.
Juan Arandilla, who joined CaixaBank in April 2025, will lead about 40 specialists in AI, data governance, advanced analytics and digital transformation. CaixaBank introduced the division about 18 months after outlining a $5 billion technology plan centered on generative AI.
