Cambridge Launches AI-Driven Account Opening Tool
Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. has announced the successful launch of the wealth management industry's first fully agentic-AI-driven account opening tool, announced in a press release. This new tool significantly reduces the time required to open accounts, completing the process in just 17 minutes compared to the previous nine-day timeframe.
The AI tool, referred to as a 'Digital Associate,' matches or exceeds human accuracy and is expected to expand its functionality to other administrative tasks in the coming months. This advancement aims to free up staff to focus on more complex, advisor-facing tasks.
Cambridge is also working on expanding the tool's capabilities to include brokerage account openings. The firm envisions a collaborative environment where human and digital associates work together to enhance service and support across the organization.
