Canaan to Show Bitcoin Mining Heat Systems at BTCHEL

Canaan will demonstrate Bitcoin mining systems that recover heat for district networks and homes at the BTCHEL conference in Helsinki.

Canaan Inc. will demonstrate Bitcoin mining systems that recover heat for district networks and homes at BTCHEL in Helsinki on September 25 and 26, the company said in a press release. Canaan says its Avalon A1566HA hydro cooled units produce water at about 80°C, while an 8 MW installation in the Nordic region supplies heat to about 2,800 homes.

The company will also show three home miners. The Avalon Nano 3S provides 6 TH/s while consuming up to 140 watts and producing 30 to 40 dB of noise. The Avalon Mini 3 provides 37.5 TH/s, 800 watts of heating output and 33 dB of noise.

The AvalonQ provides 90 TH/s, starts at 45 dB and includes three power modes. Canaan will exhibit the systems at booth 6.
