Carbon Robotics cut an undisclosed number of jobs across multiple departments in the US and other countries, according to GeekWire. The Seattle based agricultural technology company attributed the reductions to a need to align costs with broader economic conditions.

Carbon Robotics currently employs 275 people worldwide. The company makes the LaserWeeder G2, which uses AI to detect and map plants before targeting weeds with lasers.

Founded in 2018, Carbon Robotics has raised about $177 million. It raised $20 million in 2025 to support work on an undisclosed AI farm robot and introduced an autonomous tractor kit that year.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
