Carrot Launches AI System to Detect Fraud in Global Fertility Care
Carrot has launched an AI-powered Global Price Monitoring System designed to detect billing abuse and pricing irregularities in fertility and family-building care worldwide, announced in a press release.
The system uses Carrot's dataset of nearly $1 billion in processed claims across more than 50 currencies to establish dynamic pricing benchmarks for fertility services in markets where the company operates. Each claim, whether submitted through the Carrot Card or via reimbursement, is automatically evaluated against these benchmarks. When the AI identifies discrepancies such as inflated prices, unusual fee structures, or deviations from standard costs, the claim is routed to Carrot’s specialist team for review before payment is finalized.
This marks the second AI capability introduced by the company, following its recent unveiling of the 'Sprints' metabolic-fertility program. Carrot serves millions of members in 195 countries, providing fertility, family-building, and hormonal care support to multinational employers, health plans, and health systems.
