CAS and Novartis Partner on Reaction Data for AI Research

CAS announces a collaboration with Novartis Biomedical Research to prepare proprietary experimental reaction data for AI research, according to a company press release. Novartis researchers will receive searchable access to internal data and more than 160 million scientist curated reactions in the CAS Content Collection.

CAS will use its CAS Intelligence Hub services to organize and standardize the Novartis data for computational research, machine learning, and AI applications. The companies will also develop a customized discovery platform based on CAS SciFinder, allowing researchers to search, analyze, and compare internal records with CAS reaction data.

The project will support planned platform capabilities involving large language models and agentic AI.
