Casepoint Adds AI Agents for Legal Document Review

Casepoint announced in a press release two purpose built AI agents for its eDiscovery application. The Relevance Determination Agent and Issue Coding Agent are live and in use by early access customers.

The Relevance Determination Agent assesses whether documents are relevant or responsive, provides explanations and likelihood scores, and records human and AI decisions in an audit trail. The Issue Coding Agent classifies documents against legal, factual, or investigative issues defined for a matter. It can also calculate recall and precision for each issue code after a run.

Both agents use multiple models to analyze and cross check results. Users must validate performance with a sample set before applying an agent to a larger document collection. The agents operate within existing customer permissions, governance controls, and platform security boundaries, with human review included in the workflows.
