CGI Federal, DLA and University of Tennessee Study AI and Quantum Logistics

The Quantum Pathfinder initiative will study how agentic AI and quantum computing can improve warehouse management and logistics resilience in contested environments.

CGI Federal entered an applied research agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville to study agentic AI and quantum computing for military logistics, the company said in a press release.

The initiative, called Quantum Pathfinder, will examine smart warehouse coordination, reverse logistics and disposition, and resilient inventory positioning in contested environments. The partners will jointly select specific research uses.

CGI Federal will host the work at its Knoxville delivery center. The partners expect the initiative to expand during the upcoming fiscal year.
