Change.org Plans $100 Million AI Rebuild for Petition Platform
Change.org will invest $100 million over three years to rebuild its petition platform with AI tools, the company announced in a press release. The investment will be funded by contributions from more than 3 million people who support the platform each year.
The first tools will arrive over the coming months. They include an AI assistant that guides users through creating campaigns and a feature that supports human led outreach to elected officials for petitions with more than 100 local signers.
Early use of the outreach feature has doubled the response rate from elected officials. Change.org said 59% of petitions on its platform are local and 62% are nonpartisan.
