Chef Robotics Passes 120 Million Servings With Food Assembly Robots

Oct 20, 2026
Chef Robotics says its AI guided robotic arms have deposited more than 120 million food portions in production facilities.

Chef Robotics says its AI guided robotic arms have handled more than 120 million servings in production facilities, according to PYMNTS. Each serving represents one portion deposited into a meal tray rather than a complete meal.

At Café Spice, the robots and a new conveyor increased average output from 10 to 15 trays per minute to 30 trays per minute. Excess food placed in trays fell by 67%. Amy’s Kitchen recorded a 17% increase in labor productivity at its Santa Rosa facility.

The robots adjust to different ingredients, recipes and portion sizes, while recording the weight of each deposit. Chef Robotics rents the systems as a service, removing the need for customers to pay the equipment cost in advance.
