Chelsio Unveils T7 DPU Platform for High-Performance Networking
Chelsio Communications has announced the broad sampling availability of its T7 Data Processing Unit (DPU), designed for high-performance offloads in storage, security, and AI applications, announced in a press release. The T7 DPU, which supports line-rate offloads up to 400GbE, is now more broadly accessible following a year of early-access deployments with select customers.
The T7 platform offers full hardware offload for protocols such as NVMe/TCP, NVMe-oF, UDP, and iSCSI, enabling ultra-low-latency storage deployments. It also includes in-line support for IPsec, TLS, and advanced packet classification to secure data-in-motion. The platform is available in two variants: the full-featured T7 for storage and AI networking, and the cost-optimized S7 for high-volume cloud environments.
Chelsio's T7 DPU is engineered to handle modern offload requirements, providing a flexible architecture capable of hosting multiple adapters or acting as a hosted endpoint by upstream CPUs. This release marks a significant step in Chelsio's efforts to meet the growing demand for Ethernet-based acceleration in high-performance infrastructure.
