Chemours Launches Opteon Refrigerants for Data Center Chillers
Chemours has launched Opteon ZE (R-1234ze(E)) and Opteon 515B (R-515B) for stationary chiller applications, the company announced in a press release. The refrigerants are aimed at large cooling systems used in AI data centers, commercial buildings, and other mission critical environments.
Opteon ZE is a hydrofluoroolefin based refrigerant with a global warming potential of about 1 under AR5 and zero ozone depletion potential. It has an ASHRAE A2L classification and is designed for chillers cooled by air or water, commercial air conditioning, heat pumps, and data center cooling.
Opteon 515B is a refrigerant blend made of about 91.1 percent R-1234ze(E) and 8.9 percent R-227ea. It has zero ozone depletion potential, a global warming potential of about 293 under AR4, and an ASHRAE A1 classification.
Chemours said both products are available now in selected countries, with more market availability expected based on demand.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
