CleanArc Data Centers Breaks Ground on 900MW Hyperscale Campus in Virginia
CleanArc Data Centers has begun construction on its flagship 900MW hyperscale campus in Caroline County, Virginia, announced in a press release. The facility, known as the VA1 campus, will be built in phases, with the first 300MW expected to come online in the first quarter of 2027, followed by additional 300MW expansions in 2030 and between 2033 and 2035.
The campus is designed to support hyperscale and AI infrastructure growth, incorporating modular design and off-site manufacturing to speed construction. CleanArc said the facility will use closed-loop water systems and other design features to minimize environmental impact, including reduced noise and light pollution.
The project is backed by majority investor Snowhawk and minority investors Nuveen and Townsend Group. CleanArc estimates the VA1 campus will generate about $13 million in annual tax revenue for Caroline County and create 50 permanent jobs, along with hundreds of construction roles over the next several years.
CleanArc’s energy strategy includes a “True Additionality” program, which adds clean energy directly to the regional grid where it is consumed, aligning with the company’s focus on sustainable digital infrastructure.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
