Cloover Reaches Profitability at $350 Million Run Rate
Cloover said in a press release it has become profitable three years after launch, with a revenue run rate of more than $350 million. The Berlin company also added a $100 million financing facility, bringing its total financing capacity to more than $1.3 billion.
The financing capacity is supported by a $350 million guarantee from the European Investment Fund. Cloover said the funding is used for energy equipment and installations across its markets, with new offices opening in the UK, France, and Poland.
Cloover works with independent regional installers that sell residential solar, heat pumps, home electrification, and related financing. The company said about 20,000 installations a year run through its installer partnerships across Europe.
The company is also pooling installed systems into a virtual power plant. Its software forecasts home generation and consumption, schedules batteries and flexible loads, and manages tariffs and energy trading through Cloover Energy.
