Co-Diagnostics and CoMira Unveil Automated Manufacturing Line in Utah
Co-Diagnostics hosted a delegation from CoMira Diagnostics, its joint venture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the unveiling of a future automated manufacturing line at its Salt Lake City headquarters, announced in a press release. The event took place on June 17, 2026, and was attended by Utah state officials, trade representatives, and community leaders.
The visit marked the next phase of Co-Diagnostics' partnership with CoMira, which involves transferring molecular diagnostics technology and manufacturing capabilities to Saudi Arabia. The future automated PCR test kit manufacturing line is expected to support rapid scaling of diagnostic production and distribution across Saudi Arabia and 18 other countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
The Co-Dx PCR platform integrates artificial intelligence and cloud-connected outbreak surveillance features to enable real time monitoring of infectious disease trends. These capabilities are planned to be part of the CoMira partnership, aligning with the goal of establishing automated diagnostic infrastructure in international markets.
According to CoMira CEO Ihssan Rjoob, the visit provided insight into the advanced manufacturing systems that will form the foundation of CoMira’s operations in Saudi Arabia. Co-Diagnostics’ platform is designed to support scalable and efficient test production for regional healthcare needs.
