Cogent Security Launches Attack Path Analysis for AI Agent Threats

Oct 8, 2026
Cogent Security's new tool maps attack routes across enterprise systems and identifies a single change that can block each validated path.

Cogent Security announced in a press release the launch of Attack Path Analysis, a tool that maps routes attackers could use to reach critical data and systems. It identifies a chokepoint where one change can block each validated path.

The tool combines data from vulnerability scanners, endpoint detection systems, firewalls, cloud platforms, identity providers, code repositories and deployment pipelines. It checks every step for network reachability, weaknesses, attacker actions and supporting evidence.

Attack Path Analysis uses Cogent's VR-1 cybersecurity model to connect vulnerabilities, credentials, permissions, configuration errors and trust gaps. Recommended fixes appear in Cogent's Action Queue with the relevant path and evidence, and the platform checks the path again after a fix is applied.
