Cogitate plans agent orchestration for CAIRA insurance AI

Oct 15, 2026
Cogitate is expanding CAIRA, the AI layer in its DigitalEdge Insurance Platform, with orchestration that will coordinate agents across insurance workflows.

Cogitate says CAIRA, the AI layer in its DigitalEdge Insurance Platform, is expanding two years after its launch, according to a company press release. The company is developing an orchestration layer that will interpret user intent and coordinate AI agents and platform functions across insurance workflows.

CAIRA currently supports underwriting tasks such as extracting risk information from submissions, validating data, evaluating appetite, preparing quotes, reviewing inspections and analyzing portfolio data. Its claims functions cover initial loss intake, fraud signals, coverage reviews and analysis of attorney demand packages.

Cogitate plans to extend orchestration across policy, claims, billing and distribution. The agents are embedded within DigitalEdge workflows, while insurance professionals retain control over decisions.
