Cognetryx Names Julia Cherashore to Advisory Board

Cognetryx appointed former New York State financial regulator Julia Cherashore to advise on AI governance, market strategy, and customer relationships.

Cognetryx appointed Julia Cherashore to its advisory board effective September 17, the company said in a press release. She will advise the private AI platform provider on AI governance, market strategy, customer relationships, and the alignment of platform controls with regulatory expectations.

Cherashore was the first Deputy Superintendent for Data Governance and Management at the New York State Department of Financial Services. Her more than 20 years of experience includes roles involving data, risk, compliance, consulting, and operations at Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, PwC, Visa, and Moody’s.

Cognetryx provides an AI platform that runs within a customer’s network, where it indexes documents and serves models without sending records to cloud tools. Cherashore will advise on how its governance, logging, and access controls correspond with examiner requirements for regulated institutions.
