Critical Path Institute Launches Global Pediatric IBD Modeling Initiative
Critical Path Institute has launched the Critical Path Disease Modeling Coalition (CP-DMC) focused on pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, announced in a press release. The initiative aims to create regulatory-grade, quantitative models to support drug development for pediatric Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
The project is being developed with the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition and supported by the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. It combines clinical, real-world data, and regulatory science to build simulation models that can inform trial design and regulatory submissions.
Quinten Health serves as the founding AI and disease modeling partner, working with C-Path's Quantitative Medicine Program and Data Collaboration Center. The coalition will use integrated datasets to describe disease trajectories, treatment responses, and variability among pediatric patients.
The Pediatric IBD Project represents the first phase of a broader disease modeling platform. Following initial pilots, CP-DMC plans to expand to additional disease areas, aiming to create reusable, data-driven tools that enhance evidence generation and reduce patient burden in clinical research.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
